Meditation is a mental state during which at each moment one is fully conscious and aware of feelings, thoughts and movements of our person and of changes in the environment.

Practicing meditation helps us to delve into ourselves and be able to perceive our psychological, physical and emotional deficiencies. And by having knowledge of who we really are, we can find solutions to the problems we have encountered.

Usually, people live in a state of nervousness and tension, where the most serious problems are hidden by the most trivial acts, the result from stress produced from work or daily chores.

Many people suffer from ailments and live convinced that their surrounding environment is hostile and aggressive. But perhaps the source of that discomfort is within them because everyone has an explanation for the behavior of others. For example, if we live with an attitude that is somewhat submissive, then there is much possibility that others will be aggressive towards us.

In order to eliminate the deficiencies of behavior, it is necessary to put a lot of effort and have strong will, as human behavior is deeply rooted in personality. This is where meditation helps us access knowledge of ourselves and surrounding environment, in order to live healthy.

To be healthy and happy, we must remain calm in any situation. By meditating, relief of anxiety is experienced. There are many meditation techniques, so it is important to find the most suitable for us.

Some meditation techniques are; tao meditation, Buddhist meditation, raja yoga and transcendental meditation. There are also simple techniques such as breath counting, singing or dancing.

It is not advisable to begin with very deep techniques, or to do it alone, as there is a risk of getting trapped in strange mental senses at the time of breaking the divider line between the dimensions. That is why those who begin to practice meditation should start with something light.
